Law Enforcement agencies throughout Northern Kentucky will participate in one of the most ambitious local Final Leg runs in quite some time when they gather on Wednesday, June 1. The run will start early in the morning with officers from Boone County departments running from the Boone County Courthouse in Burlington to the Northern Kentucky/Greater Cincinnati International Airport. The run ends at the Police Memorial on Third Street Near the River in Covington.
In between, participants will pass the torch at stops at Commonwealth and Baker in Erlanger, Dixie Heights High School in Edgewood, Dixie HIghway and Orphanage Road in Fort Mitchell and St. Agnes Church in Fort Wirght. The total run is nearly 15 miles, but officers are welcome to take part in just one leg if they wish.
Officers from throughout Northern Kentucky are scheduled to take part, including representatives from the following agencies: Boone COunty Sheriff's Office, Covington Police, Crestview Hills Police, Department of Homeland Security, Edgewood Police, Erlanger Police, FBI, Fort Mitchell Police, Fort Wright Police, Grant County Detention Center, Northern Kentucky/Greater Cincinnati Airport Police, Kenton County Detention Center, Kenton County Sheriff's Office, Kentucky Department of Probation and Parole, Newport Police, Park Hills Police, US Customs and the US Marshals Service.
