Spring Tip-A-Cop Season Raises More than $12,500
Events in Louisville, Owensboro, Paducah and Elizabethtown Support the Torch Run

The Spring Tip-A-Cop season was another very strong run in what has long been one of the Kentucky Law Enforcement Torch Run's most successful fundraising efforts. More than $12,500 was raised over the course of eight events in Elizabethtown, Louisville, Owensboro and Paducah. Louisville, predictably, led the way with more than $7,600 raised in three events — a Tip-O-Cop at O'Charley's on St. Patrick's Day and a paid of COps and Lobsters nights on Good Friday at Red Lobster locations on Breckenridge Lane and Outer Loop.

Owensboro law enforcement and Paducah law enforcement held two days worth of events each. Owensboro agencies, including the Owensboro PD, Daviess County Sheriff and the Daviess County Constable raised more than $2,700 with a Cops and Lobsters event at the Red Lobster location and a Cops and Cowboys at the area Texas Roadhouse. Jackson Purchase FOP Lodge 15 raised $1,500 with Cops and Lobsters events on April 11 and April 18 in Paducah. And the E-town Police Department raised $750 in one day at a Cops and Cowboys event at the Texas Roadhouse there.

The Torch Run would like to thank all of the restaurants who helped make the Spring Tip-A-Cop campaign such a success. We also would like to thank everyone who organized events in their local communities, including Greg Baxter, Darrell Brangers, Brian Bray, Amy Brown, Keith Cain, Kris Crawford, Loretta McCaffrey, Patsy Meyer, J.P. Roberts and Pat Thompson.
